A GLOBAL PLAYER IN THE EVENTS INDUSTRY

As an integrated Group that works in all event-related professions, GL events is a leading player in the three main event markets:
– congresses and conventions,
– cultural, sporting, institutional, corporate or political events,
– fairs/exhibitions aimed at trade professionals or the general public.

A LEADING SPECIALIST, CLOSE TO THE COMMUNITIES IT WORKS WITH
GL events Exhibitions is the division that specialises in organising trade fairs, exhibitions and general public fairs in France and around the world.
It has established itself as a leading player, with close ties to the communities it works with.
The Group’s trade fairs address all major economic sectors: industry, construction, culture and leisure, housing, environment, trade and distribution, etc. Particularly strong sectors include fashion and textiles, the agri-food industry, and swimming pools, for which the Group organises leading international events for the professions concerned. This diverse portfolio of sectors is reinforced by the Group’s ability to produce events in different countries and the fact it works on both BtoB and BtoC exhibitions.

SIRHA FOOD, MANUFACTURE OF FUTURE
Inspiring the world of hospitality and Food Service, to be at the forefront of influences, understand the world in movement, report to better support a market and its players, is the mission of Sirha Food.
New global brand and food media, Sirha Food speaks to professionals as well as the general public and gather all the Food Service actors in 7 events: the Sirha Lyon, Sirha Green, Sirha Made, Sirha Europain trade fairs, the Omnivore Food Festival, and the Bocuse d’Or and Pastry Wolrd Cup contests.
Because the world of food today can only be considered in terms of porosity, in moving territories, alive.

BOCUSE D’OR: BY A CHEF, FOR THE CHEFS
It’s because France and the city of Lyon represent the centre of expression for all the cuisines of the world, that Paul Bocuse imagined in 1987, during a trade fair which has since become the Sirha Lyon, a worldwide competition for chefs keen to break codes.
Organised by GL events, the Bocuse d’Or is far more than just a gastronomic competition; it is a laboratory of excellence and an incubator of talent where commitment, passion, technique and creativity determine the greatest tomorrow’s chefs. It is a wonderful springboard for anyone wishing to gain international recognition. Since the creation of the competition, the candidates, through their dedication to the culinary arts, have preserved the timeless spirit of Paul Bocuse.
The Grand Finale, which takes place during Sirha Lyon at Eurexpo, is the milestone of a cycle of seventy national and four continental selections over a period of two years. It is a truly spectacular event in which the 24 candidates surpass themselves in front of stands worthy of major sporting events and under the eyes of cameras broadcasting the competition live around the world. Over 2 days, everyone has only one ambition: to win the Bocuse d’Or!

BOCUSE D’OR SOCIAL COMMITMENT AWARD
Since 2021, GL events and Bocuse d’Or Winners jointly create the Bocuse d’Or Social Commitment Award, that is presented to a team taking part in the Bocuse d’Or. It aims to reward their social involvement in areas related to food and catering:
• food aid, distribution of meals,
• food education, training,
• sustainable development (combatting waste, responsible agriculture, preserving resources, etc).
This prize is awarded by a jury composed of internationally renowned personalities who are recognised for their commitment and expertise in these fields (more information here https://www.bocusedor.com/en/contest/social-commitment-awards)
